Vinyl Plank in Euless Apartments, Condos and Rental Houses
Renters outnumber owners in Euless. Of about 23,900 occupied homes, roughly 14,400 are rented, and around 10,300 of the city's housing units sit in buildings of five or more apartments (American Community Survey, 2020 to 2024). Vinyl plank suits that market well. It wipes clean after a move-out, shrugs off pet bowls and mopped spills and goes in quickly, which matters when a unit is waiting on its next lease. On a ground-floor unit or a house, most of the effort goes into the slab: a moisture test, then grinding or patching until it meets the plank maker's flatness limit.
Upper-floor units bring a second question, which is noise. For floor-ceiling assemblies between apartments, IBC Section 1206 sets an impact sound target of IIC 50, and condo boards often write their own number into the rules. A hard plank laid directly on the subfloor can carry footsteps straight into the unit below, so on those jobs we get the association's requirement in writing first and use an underlayment tested for that kind of assembly. Landlords who own several units can keep the same plank and underlayment across all of them, which makes later repairs simpler.
