Coating Older Euless Garages and Service Rooms
About three quarters of the occupied houses and townhomes in Euless were built before 2000, and roughly two thirds date from 1960 through 1999 (American Community Survey, 2020 to 2024). That puts many garage slabs here somewhere between about 25 and 65 years old. Concrete that age usually shows its history: oil that has soaked in where cars have parked for years, a coat or two of old paint or sealer and cracks from decades of clay soil movement. Soaked-in oil has to be degreased and ground out, or the new coating will lift in exactly the spot where you park. Because these slabs sit on grade, we also test for moisture vapor, which can blister a coating from below.
The city's apartment properties are another fit. With more than 10,000 Euless housing units in buildings of five or more, there are plenty of laundry rooms, maintenance shops and storage rooms with bare concrete that stains easily. A quartz or flake broadcast with a textured topcoat gives those rooms a floor that mops clean and grips when wet.
